My interest in personal growth and wellness
My life path led me to read numerous books on personal growth, practice various introspection exercises, stress and anxiety relief techniques, and art therapy, and to question my mission. Having been through depression and burnout, I use several tools to reduce my stress and anxiety and increase my mood. This translates into art, among other things, and also into sharing my learning with others.
Color and music live inside of me. Meditation and mindfulness tools help me calm down and return to what is essential. I share many of these tools in my YouTube videos and blog.
Meeting with the visual arts
Since 2003, I have drawn, painted, and explored the interplay of colors and movement. I love watercolor and acrylic. I paint the flowers that we can observe in Quebec during the beautiful summer period. I also like the comic style. This can be observed on my greeting cards, which feature animals meditating. I also like making unique and vibrant mandalas.
I use my creativity to realize inspiring artistic products from my works or drawings.
My favorite style of the great masters is Impressionism. These paintings are emotional, romantic, and vibrant. The light of these paintings feels like a balm for the soul. I had the chance to visit the Musée d’Orsay and the Louvre Museum during a trip to Paris. The paintings that evoked the most emotions were those by Monet and Van Gogh. I also love the style of William Turner, especially his skies and tumultuous seas. I also had the opportunity to visit the Miró Museum in Spain. It was an unforgettable experience with his vast abstract works. I also enjoy pop art, which is characterized by its bright and colorful aesthetic, combining graphic design with popular culture. I love comics and cartoons. All these styles definitely influence my work.
Below are some pictures of my little workshop.
My love for music
Music has always been a part of my life, and I love almost all styles: pop, rock, metal, bossa nova, jazz, reggae, and classical. I have been listening to music all my life since I was a child.
As a child, I played the air organ and the flute. As far as I remember, I loved singing and dancing. I practiced dancing for ten years. In 1993, I took guitar classes and then singing classes. I had the opportunity to perform in several shows, including a solo performance with musicians. I was part of a choir for two years and always loved vocal harmonies.
Three years ago, I started making electronic music. Initially, I created relaxing music to accompany the guided meditations that I recorded. Then, some music with a faster rhythm was calling me, and I produced my first album of chill-out downtempo music. I love layering instruments and composing melodies and bass lines. I have taken several online courses and have also been learning the piano for two years. It’s never too late to learn music!
I have many music and song projects. Some texts have been sleeping in a notebook for many years now, and one day, I’ll wake them up!
Making music is like painting, writing, or recording a guided meditation. Everything starts with an empty canvas. Then the process starts: having the idea, designing, realizing, reviewing, reviewing, reviewing, and completing. All these steps are captivating. Creating something unique is rewarding.
I admire many artists. Here in Quebec, I love Jean Leloup, Daniel Bélanger, Bruno Pelletier, Marjo, Arianne Moffat, and the Cowboys Fringants. Internationally, I admire the work of Prince, Paul McCartney, Iron Maiden, Pink, and many more. My favorite of all is the incontestable Sting.
I write, so I am
I love writing. Translating an idea or synthesizing information into a useful text is a pleasure. Nothing is more satisfying than finishing a completed text. Or simply to express what we have in mind, what we feel, or what we struggle to free ourselves from past trauma. Whether it is informational, personal, or romantic, writing is an activity where everything is allowed. Personal journals, articles of blogs, novels, news, and stories—there are so many opportunities to express what we think!
As a teenager, I wrote poems with nice calligraphy, embellishing them with drawings, flowers, and colors. From 2005 to 2008, I wrote stories for children, for which I made the illustrations. All this was done for pleasure. You can hear these stories on my YouTube channel (in French only).
My relationship with Energy Stones
I am fascinated by the stones. When I travel, I always bring back some stones and shells. I believe in the energy of the stones. When I hold a stone in my hand, a particular energy emerges. Some do not believe that. I feel it. I have a collection of raw stones that I occasionally look at with a magnifying glass. I like the composition of crystals and the discoveries that this soothing activity can bring.
I started doing jewelry when I was very young. I also experienced a small market organized by the community center, where I sold my necklaces with multicolored beads. I have always been drawn to pearls, beads, and the art of making jewelry.
Combining the energy of the jewelry stones, I had the idea to add energy bracelets to my shop, allowing people to enjoy their benefits.
